We currently have 120 children on roll attending our Breakfast and After-school Club. (March 23) 

New Waltham Academy Breakfast and After-school Club provides quality childcare that incorporates the high standards, values and ethos of the school. We plan activities that are fun, age appropriate and educational; that support the learning taking place during the school day, within a friendly, supportive and safe environment.

We have a team of experienced staff – many of whom have other roles within school – who follow a timetable of carefully planned and structured activities. Activities include ICT projects, art and craft clubs, outdoor play, a homework club and a quiet space for reading and relaxation. Key events and celebrations are celebrated and enjoyed; film clubs, cookery afternoons, bingo and fund raising events also form part of club activities.

The club promotes self-directed play as well as focused adult-led activities – all providing play opportunities which aid the development of the children and meet their individual needs and interests. The children have agreed the club rules and are actively involved in organising club activities. They have a say when deciding breakfast and snack choices and there is a suggestions book where children can write down their thoughts and ideas. We value the thoughts and opinions of the children and understand the importance of the children enjoying their free time spent with us.

Times available of the club will be:

Breakfast :- 7.30am-7.59am - £6.00 or 8.00-8:45am - £5.50

After-school :- 3.20pm-5:00pm - £9.00 or 3:20pm – 6:00pm - £10.50
